Resistors I have 0.12 I can ship out my extra batches
I did my mod- to my relay-
If anyone needs resistors. I can mail them out to you-
Just pay a few bucks.

Is this the right resistor?

I'm only asking because it looks different from the ones you guys use. The info is right but wasn't sure because it didn't look the same lol.

Thanks to Roger555 for this mod. I was able to perform it on my 08 TL -S with a .24 ohm 1 W resistor and have both front and rear LEDs. If anyone is uncomfortable soldering but wants this done, I bought extra resistors and can perform it for you for a few bucks (for shipping) , PM me!!

anyone have any extra .12 ohm resistors?
is installing a resistor the only way to make an led bulb work as the headlight turn signal... or is there just a plug n play out there somewhere?

do you still have any .12 ohm resistors left?[/QUOTE]
HEY COFFEEBOWL....you need to delete some messages from your inbox.
Dont do the Load resistors, do this MOD with the relays, it does work and its Very easy, to do.
HI Coffeebowl. , Yes I have more Resistors.
Do you need ONE, or Two. just let me know how many you need,
and GIVE Me your mailing address so I can figure how much it will cost me to put these in an envelope for you.
Thanks for asking.

you will remove the shunt resistor and install this the same way....
all soldering will be done on 1 side and components on the other

Those should work just fine for only 2 LED bulbs (Front 2 or Back 2). If you want to save time you can just solder a 0.24 ohm one and when you're ready to put LEDs in the front & rear you won't have to solder anymore because the resistor is already in place.

thx again roger for writing this up.
so, i got my switchbacks, cheap soldering iron, solder, and resistor.
the turn signal relay was a HUGE pain in the butt to remove, but I now know how hard to pull it.
problem is, i'm scared as hell to solder anything on the back of that tiny board - anyone have any tips for exactly how they went about the procedure of removing the oem shunt resistor and installing the 0.12 ohm resistor? Like a more detailed explanation for someone like me with zero experience soldering would be very helpful (how much solder to use, how to avoid making it messy/lumpy, as the cleaner it is, the less chance of solder running across circuits on the board and screwing up, etc.) Also, would you guys recommend using a very small / fine tip for the soldering iron, or is it really not necessary? I understand the basic process of soldering, I just really didn't expect other important components on the board to be soooo close. Perhaps I'm overthinking this.

hey guys so I did my solderin last night ( had my dad do it since hes more handy then me) it looks like a clean solder.....so I put the relay back in and then I went to take the signal bulbs out of my 08 tl type s and I was pullin it and then just gave out and then did some research to see that u have to push down and twist so I will be doin that today.....my question is that my turn signals still work and my hazards and all...is that normal or are they suppose to not work?? im putting in my leds in today..

yes you are supposed to push down and untwist it
yes your turn signals are supposed to work still including hazards. I don't get why that's even a concern. Did you expect doing this mod will make your turn signals and hazards not work?
I would be asking questions if they stopped working
