G-082: 08 WDP TL-S Yellow Fog Light Mod DIY
08 WDP TL-S YELLOW FOG LIGHT MOD DIY
I wanted my fog lights yellow and protected. I knew of the yellow tint because I had it on my old 04 TSX. But I knew it had the risk of burning when not driving. Plus how much did the film really protect the fogs from rocks and other debris?
So I thought, why not install some clear yellow Plexiglas? I looked around Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc; and even called around to glass places and no one had clear yellow. So, I searched online and found this place:
www.estreetplastics.com

The yellow Plexiglas I bought was 12” long by 6” wide. This is enough to make both sides. I actually bought two just in case I goofed it. I got the ¼” thickness. This fit pretty good. But you may want to use the 1/8”.
This is exactly what I ordered:
Code Item Qty Price Total
T042010100 1/4" x 6" x 12" Transparent Yellow Plexiglass Acrylic Sheet - #2208 2 $3.79 $7.58
DSC-6 3% off on quantities of 2 to 5 [T042010100] 1 -$0.23 -$0.23
Sub Total: $7.35
Tax: $0.00
Shipping: $8.67
Grand Total: $16.02
Directions:
1. Take off the front bumper black inserts where the fogs are. I didn’t know how to do this and took the whole front bumper off. Once I did that I found out it was pretty easy to just pop the inserts off since they are just clipped in.
2. I didn’t cut the Plexiglas in the exact shape of the fog opening. I wanted it to overlap a little since I was going to glue the Plexiglas onto the inside of the insert. My neighbor has a electric band saw which was nice for cutting the Plexiglas.
3. Once cut out……I simply glued them into the INSIDE of the black insert over the fog light hole. I used epoxy made for plastic. Took about 5 minutes to set, really quick.
4. Once epoxy is dry. Insert the black insert back into the bumper and your done. Pretty easy mod.
Talk about protection for your fogs. There are no rocks going to get through the ¼” Plexiglas. These fogs are very very yellow in person. I was using my camcorder to take the pics so they are not the best. But they are very yellow and I’m using stock bulbs. You can also buy the yellow bulbs and I guess that would make it even more yellow.
So, if your worried about rocks or yellow film burning, I think this is a good solution.
Nice mod for under $25.00.

As far as the black part of the fogs.......are you talking about the back of them or the bumper grill inserts?

i dont think u can , from what i saw when u removed the bumper, u have to unscrew them from the inside of the bumper. which would require removal. if im wrong, someone correct me, but i dont think i am. it wouldnt make sense to be able to remove the grills from the outside. that would provide for easy thest which i dont think honda would do

so u have an 04-06 then? u can either install the fogs off of ebay of the genuine honda fogs. if im not mistaken u have to use the 04 honda accord 4 door fog lights . they fit the tl well. thats what most people on here use. just double check the year, but im pretty sure its the 04 accord fogs
