Hmmm...it's built in, huh?!?
I was his guinea pig (one of them) for the type s gauge bezels so I know what it means to be his "tester" and for you not to know the price of the item. I'm itching to find out...have a local member and friend that is itching for blacked out sidemarkers that I could probably sell mine to and I'll get these.
Do they blink properly when the headlights are on? I'll check out the thread now. I wonder if BOTH front and back is overkill...how does it look?

pu**y...
and you meant side mirrors.
I know, trust me...that's why I did the relay mod to begin with. But it working sporadically was worse than it working like a normal sidemarker without blinking. Anyway, my "safety" concern was people not being able to see me signal...but with the 120SMD switchbacks, trust me, you can tell I'm signalling from the side of me...it's bright and because of the color change also very obvious.

Is this the equivalent to me telling you to piss off about the spoiler?
No hostility, I only call the people I really like names.
Plus, what's a little snow amongst friends...get out there and git it. Please...you can actually access the sidemarker wiring with the wheels on...cut to one side, unscrew 4 screws at bottom and remove 2 clips...pull fender liner back and unclip the sidemarker...plug it in...feed the signal wire over the top of the liner as far as you can...then cut wheel the other way and remove the 1 or 2 clips up front (after putting the rear of fender liner back together) and pull the wire thru to where you need it, then t-tap it to the front middle wire. I could do this install in 10 minutes.
No sht.

If I went to Kansas...I'd be going skiing or something. Not working on your sidemarkers.
Just kidding, I'd gladly give you a hand. Trust me, park in the sun, lay down a small tarp, and a blanket on that to sit on...maybe even a portable space heater to keep your digits from freezing up...and get it done. I swear, I'd survive just fine in the snow. I know myself...I don't get discouraged easily when I want to get something done.

Well...it was 80 today. Was in my vibram's, shorts and a tshirt after work. Went jogging, then stopped by Acura to order some stuff.
Jelly much?
Thought so!
On the flip side, in the summer, I can't hold any of my ratchets to work on my car due to the heat and humidity and my ball sweat getting in the way of work. There...we're even.

Let's see what happens with the USR's, at it stands it's not the end of this mod, yet.
About the pool sides...I will take your word for it, brother. I may come up at some point...I have a certain taste in "bird watching" though and I'm not sure you have my kinda birds.

^^^ well the thread is dead as the OP (original poster) posted on "how to do it" it worked....
you have 2 options if you want your sidemarkers to blink:
1> do as the OP has done in his first post....
2> buy the USR switchback sidemarkers....here are the details on those:

I have a question about the diagram that you drew, the purple line which you stated "Must cut red wire from harness that enters sidemarker and connect this to the harness side of that cut wire" means splicing in to the positive of the sidemarker harness itself right? And the green line which stated "Connected to red wire on sidemarker (that has been cut)" is that same positive of the sidemarker. So what I did was tape both of those wires in to the positive of the sidemarker but when the headlights are on they don't blink. Only when the headlights are off. Think you could shed some light? I've been stumped for a few hours. Thanks !

I don't understand what you're asking.
Before you go too much more crazy, look into USR blinking sidemarkers.
I did this mod twice and both times the right side started bugging out on me.

can someone post a video for the installation... or give exact step by step with pictures for a type s.
i think it would be worth it since so many ppl want to get this done. for me a video or detailed instruction would help a lot, especially the removal of the sidemarker the wires, and the wires leading to the headlights?

I would really like these kinds of side markers :P along with the rear to be blinking red and running red. If anyone has any idea how to get a hold of these kinds let me know please would match my switchbacks from the headlights, the usr ones just blink amber.

I will tell you that although you might save a few bucks doing it yourself...
I've confirmed that the modifry module intended for reverse functionality works flawlessly on the TL's sidemarker as well.
Save yourself some time.
