Fun in the rain.

So I got out of the movies saturday afternoon, went and saw spideyman2, and it's pouring down monsoon rain.

And I notice this vast empty completely water soaked parking lot, and the urge overcame me.

Turn the wheel, floor it, reverse the wheel, still on it, doing donuts and being a maniac and ya know what the car did ??? nothing, it drove in a circle, it didn't hydroplane, it didn't slide much at all, it never went sideways, the body roll was deliciously low.

As kinda uneventful as that might be to a driver who wanted to have fun, it was VERY impressive for the car, the tires and the VSA.

I would have continued but Tweety (my Bel 980) went off so I left quietly and calmly. I was gunna try a little more brake work and some other stuff but Tweety was goin off pretty good and I didn't want to fork out any money.

Then I forgot about the stuff I had in the trunk, cleaning up that was another story.

Cool. And this is with reformulated EL42s? I'm impressed.

Shot: yes.. unfortunately.. well.. not EVERYTHING, that's just MrHappy with his nose ring.

neuron: yes this is the Turanza EL42's not the original Potenza EL42's.
I have noticed the Turanza's squeak around turns at high speeds more than the Potenzas did, but they're still pretty fun. Turing versus Performance.

I wanted to turn vsa off, but once Tweety kept goin I gave up.

rets: sorry for the long delay, but sometimes I actually do work rather than sit on here.

My original tires were Potenza EL42's.. after my bout with tire vibration, I got some Turanza and they still say EL42's. Just found out today from a regional rep that that was probably in error when I got those on there.

Hopefully I'm a bunch closer to a new car.
