as long as you run 91-93 grade gas you should never have to use a fuel cleaner.

If needed, I think seafoam is still considered one of the best. You can use it in your top end too.

Ya if you use Top Tier premium fuel there is no need for fuel system cleaner but once in a while is good.

But if you do want to try one, Techron and Redline SI-1 are two of the best, and when I use it I usually put it in before a long trip that way it gets used up in one shot.

I rarely use one. Maybe one every 10k miles. Only because I somehow get them for free.

I've used Redline in the past,

As a precaution, I run Chevron Techron every 10k miles. If the car is going to sit for more than 3 days, Lucas in the tank.

Aren't all fuel system cleaners just slightly more distilled gasoline with an extra helping of detergent?

The pour-in kind are. Not very effective.
The only good way to clean a dirty system is open it up replace and sand blast clean.
Ethanol is often what fouls up the system.

For years...on all my vehicles I have always run Lube Control LC20 and FP Plus. The LC20 is for the oil and the FP Plus is for the gas. Together, they help burn carbon deposits and lubricate your fuel system. Check out their website here... http://lubecontrol.com/index.php

You can only buy it directly from them. I can't confirm that it actually helps increase your gas mileage, but I like the piece of mind that it is always running through my system helping to lubricate and eliminate water.
