Lightbulb FSB Bushing: A Good or Bad mod???

I was wondering if you guys thought it would be a good or bad mod if I swapped the OEM front sway bar bushings for urethane ES greaseable bushings? I know the theory is that in a FWD it might increase understeer. But with urethane bushings, wouldn't it keep both wheels more firm on the ground thus resulting in better handling and decreased body roll? People have said a huge sway bar is not as effective w/o stiffer bushings... I felt a huge difference after installing the Progress RSB which happens to come with urethane bushings. I know the OEM bushings are on top of the subframe, but could this be done by removing the one bolt thats easier to access, and just sliding/squeezing new bushing in place? I have acess to a lift at work and power tools, so i was just wondering if you guys thought this mod was worth it for $20 cost... thanks

I always advocate for poly bushings on swaybars... Sure they will more minutely increase understeer... only by making the bar do it's job, opposed to the bushing squishing.

FYI, replacing that bushing requires lowering the engine subframe. 6 critical bolts, a lot of work, and you SHOULD get an alignment afterwards, as your front suspension is tied to it. It's really a "no joke" piece of work.

and, the greasable bushings won't fit, the nipple will hit the body. Look and see for yourself.

I plan to do it soon.

I'm gonna try the non greasables... They look like they'll fit.
