Front license plate frame

Has anyone checked to see if this scratches the paint? The Frame on previous Acuras Scratched the crap out of the paint for example on the CL. I just remembered that, I used some electrical tape to prevent it from getting worse.

Don't know if it does. I've already had it off once to have the ClearBra installed. There were no scratches there when it was taken off.

My state doesn`t require a front plate. As soon as I left the dealer, I took the bracket off and put the plugs back. Looks much better without (CT).

The dealer installed the bracket (without asking me) and I removed it, but I don't have the plugs to cover the holes (they are color matched), so I will go to the dealer tomorrow and see if they can give me a set from another car.

Why did they designed the frame to go over the ACURA letters?
the previous model used a bracket that was screwed from underneath.

Later...

I went back to the dealer and they had some plugs in the back of the mechanic room, no scratches... Now I can see the ACURA letters on the bumpers like it should be!

I will get the full nose mask for when I go into long trips.

the 6 Speeds feels awsome, it's getting smoother to shift now.

thanks for the info...

My (FL) dealer installed the front license frame without asking too! Look in the glove box for your plugs (service told me that's where they're told to put them).

License frame now off, plugs back in, no scratches, looks much better. But do it right away, the frame doesn't fit so tight and I can see it moving around and scratching the bumper after a while.

Enjoy your 6MT, I'm jealous that my wife never learned how to really drive.

I put some tape on my frame today, didn't notice any scratches yet but I'm sure given enough time it would have
