Front end swap

I just gotten into my first accident and im paying cash for it all i was wondering if it would be possible to front end swap a 2006 tl to a 2018 tlx front end since the whole front end will have to come off anyways and i think it might look good but anyone have any advice

It won't bolt on, if that's what you're asking.

You could probably have it done with a lot of custom work.

Possible? Absolutely!

Cost-effective? Absolutely-NOT!

Just wonder how possible it would be not worried about the money i just cant figure out how fenders would line with doors, if its the same length for hood without cutting frame down, moving motor and tranny back, finding new fans/radiator

Like I said, literally ANYTHING is possible. No one has done this, therefore you're going to be the guinea pig.

How good are you with; welding, sheet metal work, custom fabrication, plastic work, bondo/body filler, paint, custom electrical wiring? Just to name a few.

This guy retrofit a 2018 TLX front grille on his 3rd gen TL. Not a full front end swap, but it might be similar to what you're looking for:

That actually looks pretty good.
Just wish he would have followed through and provided detail on the behind the grille frame work that holds it all together.
