Got a quote yesterday for repaining my front bumper on my 04 NBP TL of 450... is this high it seems like alot considering my bumper isnt dented or scratched just missing paint... anybody get there bumper repainted and can give me a price... also are there any good shops in westchester/ NYC i can go to for cheaper and still have a quality job done

 

Hey, you can take it to MAACO and probably get it done for @ $139 on special. If you want a quality job, remove spider webs and paint, then prep, $450 is a very inexpensive price.

 

Just remember Maaco might last you till the first time the bumper flexes..

 

450 is about right for a quality job with guaranteed paint match. Although you have NBP so paint match is less of an issue for you than it is for the rest of us.

 

normal paint costs are around 200-300 dollars. This should include prep (sanding all old paint down, fixing chips, etc) and paint. Matching should not be an issue since you have NBP.

 

Wait, are you saying Maaco does NOT do a quality job?

 

You get what you pay for.....A quality paint job for a bumper means they remove the bumper, prep, paint and reinstall bumper. No overspray to adjacent panels this way.

It cost my brother $300. 4 years ago to do a bumper on a Honda Accord in NYC (Long Island City, Queens). They closed a year ago to make way for a condo.

 

Just got my NBP bumper fully removed, sanded, primered and repainted 2 weeks ago for $250 + tax from a Ford dealer of all places. They also color matched my grill free of charge and murdered out the aspec front lip. I was already in there for some other body work being done through my insurance so I figured i'd have them do it all at the same time.

They were very confused about what exactly was going on with my accord fog light mod when they tried to remove the lower grills and couldn't

 

if your going to have your bumper repainted, have them blend in your hood or shoot the whole thing, and blend in your quaters and that should take care of just about any rock chips that you might have, then get clear bra...

 

how much more would this cost ?

 

each panel should not cost more then 300 to paint in nyc. the front bumper should be a piece of cake if there really isnt any damage to it. its mostly sanding and prep work.
