front bumper

On the front bumper, passenger side, there is what appears to be a circular cutout
with a body colored plug in it. It is about the size of a silver dollar. Any idea what it
is for?

It's for the eyebolt they use to haul it onto a wrecker. It's hard to tow the TL from below without damaging the bodywork, so they provide a bolt (in the jack kit) for maneuvering the car.

Thanks, I had looked in the owners manual and could not find anything. After reading your post
I checked again and found the information.
