Front brake pads 2007 TL Type-S
Previously I watched my buddy change the front brake pads on my Ak. You jack up the wheel, take off the tire, then remove the thin metal tension-er and remove the pins holding the pads in place. My question is how do you remove the pins? I thought my bud used needle nose pliers to remove the pins, but needle nose would not fit in the small opening??

Have you looked in the 3G garage?

Use a small screw-driver or hex bit that fits inside the hole. Gently tap it with a hammer and the pin will back out. The pins aren't held in very tight at all. Be carefull not to scratch the caliper with the bit or hammer. The caliper paint is delicate after many heat cycles.

^yup that'll work.
i use a 3.5mm punch. but anything will work as long as it'll fit in the hole.
