Fresh tires on my type S
Just got the car 3 weeks or so ago and have been living every turn of the wrench to get it up to speed. Done alot so far mechanically, tb/wp, trans switches, serp belt, 2x3, 2 side motor mounts, and finally TIRES. Bought new set of Continental Extreme Contact Sports, the guy I bought the car from had 3 different tires on it a blizzak and a continental dws on the front and 2 cupped bald kumhos on the rear. After 100 miles so far these tires made a HUGE difference. Now I just need to replace a compliance bushing and figure out why it pulls to the left a bit. Thought you guys might enjoy a pic, imo this is one of the best looking cars in the last 20 years.

I have the same tires on my TL-S as well! Just bought the car 2 weeks ago and they are still in pretty good shape. The front tires are definitely going through a lot due to the excessive wheelspin under hard acceleration, though.

the summer tires need to be warmed up before they grip! Be sure your pressures are around 33 PSI cold and not higher than that otherwise it'll spin

I've only owned mine for 2 weeks and the dealership put brand new Continental Extreme Contact Sports on it before it was sold to me and mine pulls hard left when you're in the gas. My father in law owns a 04 TL base 6 speed and his does it to. I thinking its a thing with these cars. Could be wrong though.

If it is pulling hard under acceleration, you have an alignment issue or torn compliance bushings. There is torque steer in these cars for sure, but it is no where near insane. I have driven many other FWD cars that you absolutely must have both hands on the wheel to keep from jumping to the other lane. I don't even notice torque steer in my '05 at all unless my alignment is out of whack.
