Lightbulb free gas? or wasting my time

So my buddy has a Integra GSR. With cams, stage 2 clutch, stroked motor?, CAI, and last but not least exhaust. Stilen with a glasspack 2.5 inch. 5 speed manual.

For the longest time he's been talking soo much smack for no reason about whipping my TL. Granted we've had little races before, but he's always had an excuse to buy out of it.

"that's cause i was all motor.. my vtec isn't enabled" "i have no exhaust NO BACK PRESSURE DUH"

my 1st gear pull as hard as his 1 + 2..

Our bet is whoever loses fills up the other persons tank. Now I live in houston so.. a full tank is about 60-70$ to fill up No job and a student so pretty hard..

Is he crazy? or can his integra really be that fast with just those modifications alone? Oh yeah forgot to mention he weighs like 230lbs O_O

His interiors not gutted, he's got a crap load of tools in the trunk.. kinda like a 2nd storage location for the stuff he's too lazy to sort out. I really think he's gonna get left behind I'm sure he'll get the jump on me from his weight. But his car i doubt will keep pulling in the long run next to the v6 without a light tune.

forgot to add he wants to do a highway run

hmm honestly i dont know how fast the base TL's are, but if its even close to a type S, then i suppose you should take him on a highway, but personally i would think you would take him easy from a slower roll like 25mph. i feel like the TL has good torque for lower speeds but not enough power for a really good highway pull. reason i say 25mph is that, its in high rpm for 1st gear and you will hit the powerband early and should keep pulling from there.

my TL from base surprisingly actually beat a Type-S. It was an Auto.

6MT Base is about as fast as a 5AT TL-S if not faster.

good job, but assuming equal conditions and driver, a type S should have beaten you. after all, honda put the extra power for a reason. however a win is a win, even if the other driver doesnt know how to use his car properly.

OP, what are his mods? You sound like you're not too sure yourself. Does he have a stroked motor or not? If so, 1.8L? 2.0L? He has CAI/Exhaust/Cams? No header? He would gain much more power with a header, especially since he has cams. I think you need to ask him what mods he actually has. If he has bolt ons/cams and is a good driver, he will probably beat you. If he's stroked and has those mods, you will be $60 poorer for sure.

Since you even mentioned he weighs 230, I assume you are a good amount less. That will play a role but if he's a good driver and has the right breathing mods, he will beat you.

Did you say he has Stillen exhaust?? That's a Nissan brand...

i cant chime in because youre auto.. but i am about dead even if not 1 car ahead from a roll with a B20 hatch with gutted interior/ headers/ intake/ exhaust/ cam/ tune.

the type-r trans isnt really good for highway pulls. but in the 1/4 this guy runs 13.5 +-

We done it off a 40 roll. But that guy was completely stock. My exhaust i know for a fact gives more high end that equals the same as the type-S so at first i actually pulled infront of him, but oh yeah he did catch up. But i wasn't gonna go over 90. Had to go home. Gas was on empty also ;\

3.2 and 3.5 aren't much different if you break it down. Imo 3.2's better i read somewhere on here has more capability? forgot what thread it was. I think that J&R turbo build

Yes he has a stillen exhaust.. his integra looks like it came out of a recycling bin it's motor has over 200,000 miles.. Him as a driver. He's not that amazing.
I put a question mark on when i said stroked motor was because he actually had another motor that he worked on, which the head blew up. And since then i'm positive its his stock motor now.

Along with that his map sensors whigged out with alot of other things. His car's kind of ricey with man ghetto fixes made to it.

That's kind of the idea.. he talks soo much smack about TL's its ridiculous how 2 faced he is about the car. It's probably his jealously talking. A 2500$ gsr with his 350$ used boltons. With alot of parts being held up by glue.. And the driver mirror held up with tape = priceless

Highway pull? Do it. You should knock his dick in the dirt before its over. Bad choice on his part IMO. He should have been wanting to do 1/4 run on track to limit your distance.

Do a 30 - 125 run....he will be behind you. lol

but then again you do it in a lot more style and comfort then he will ever be able to do though.....

need video though....

btw MAKE SURE the friend knows you are recording to help secure a win easier, so he kind stumbles when it comes time to preform

BTW OP his gas tank is a bit smaller then yours, let alone him not being able to cheap out with "regular" gas, cause the owner's manual specifically states it needs premium (but sure as hell make sure to cheap out to fill his though.... if needed)

update: I win. His tps is failed, and his motors got rod knocking. On top it took about 10 minutes for him to start his car with his bad relay.

instead of filling up my tank i had him change my front rotors, and replaced my brake pads.

old rotors.. raped
