Hi Mike-

Did you check their website (www.formulaone.com) for dealers near you? I believe that all authorized vendors will be listed there. If you are interested in the warranty, you need to go through an authorized shop.

The nearest location to Jacksonville that they list is Custom Glass Tint in Gainesville FL.

I always had great luck in Jax at that palce on the corner of old kings rd. and sunbeam rd... can't remember the name of it for the life of me... umm... advanced auto glass maybe??? Anyhow, i think they do pretty great work, they will warranty it even if you get "dark" tint, and even on the windshield, they wont write you a receipt, but i never had any problems with them... I've had like... 6 cars done there, including the windshield on two of them.

Yeah I'm aware that the dealer takes it to another place down the road. I'm all for it as long they do it right and install the moleskin. As soon as my car arrives, I told them to put all my options on with the tinted windows so I can pick up my car and sign the paper works and never comeback until my 1st oil change. I just don't like to drive, and drop off my car. I like to get everything done by the time i get my new car instead of coming back and fourth.

How are they with the TL? Any scrathes? My girl got her car tinted and it turned out fine. Also my bro has 03 Accord and there is some scrathes left behind. I guess his accord needed moleskin. They both got it done by the tint specialist.

this is funny, it's almost turned out to be a... "who's in Jax?" thread... and I am not even there!! (anymore I lived there from like... 1yr old, until 22, now I live in Wichita, KS... however.... don't knock it b/c it's in KS and has the name of Wichita... it actually reminds me A LOT of the way jax was about 15-20 years ago... and is growing (not near as fast as jax is at the moment, but maybe around the same speed jax was 15 yrs ago), but anyhow, one thing i do like... I spend the same amount on a house here, in a nice neighborhood as a friend back home there, and i have "more" house, in a "better" neighborhood, which has already appreciated in similiar percentages as houses there (of courses excluding waterfront in my comparison with there). Anyhow, i just had to say that, if you dont go to the beach, which i rarely ever did.... while Jax seems like the $hit sometimes.... there are a LOT of other cities which really are not all that much different.... It's taken me a while to get used to here, but i slowly think i am... well, I'll stop rambling and thread hijacking... sorry.... oh, I love my tint!!

I have no complaints whatsoever on the tint specialists, they did an excellent job on my ride. yes i got the moleskin because i didn't want to take any chances without it, no scratches, absolutely perfect job. they even did the quarter windows completely, lately i've seen already a couple of other tl's with a strip left undone in the quarters..suckers! but yes, i paid like 2 somehing for the job, took a couple of hours but well worth the time and money, nice peeps too. i would highly recommend them to anyone who's considering, i don't know much about the different brands of tint like the formula 1 kind that this whole thread is about in the first place (sorry, don't mean to hijack). got mine 30% front and rears and 15% back window...again, excellent job!

Moleskin is stuff you put on the plastic wipers inside the door panel so the plastic doesn't scratch the tint.
