Fog light rewire

Hi everyone! This is my first post, but I've been a longtime lurker. There's a lot of great info on these boards.

I was wanting to do this mod https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-029-diy-independent-fog-lights-stock-switch-772633/ but the pictures are not showing up for me. Is this a problem on my end? Having pictures would definitely help me out.

Also, I had JnC put in LED halos in my lights. These will be what I'm activating with the fog light switch, as I never use my fogs and will have them disabled. My question is, should I tap the power for the halos from the fog light wire that plugs into the housing, or wire them up to the fog fuse in the fuse box? Or another way, as I'm open to suggestions

the pics in that link work fine for me.

as for the halo's, you can tap into fuse#32. its the ACC fuse, and will only be on when the car is turned on (which is nice). pick up an add-a-fuse from radio shack for like $3

Must be because I'm on my phone, and not my computer that I can't see them. I was hoping that'd be the case.

I don't want them on whenever the car is on though, and especially not when the main lights are on. I'd like them to last for a long time lol, and I like having them off sometimes.

^you're going to want to wire the angel eye + and - wires to a rocker switch then. rocker switch will have 2 leads, wire + to one lead and - to the other lead.

now you'll need a way to power them up right? thats where the #32 fuse and add-a-fuse comes in handy. you can simply splice the positve wire that is hooked up to the switch, and route it over to the add-a-fuse.

done deal. you can turn them on and off with the switch.

But that means installing said rocker switch correct? I'm sure that would be the easiest way, but I want to use my factory fog light switch to accomplish this. Hence the garage post. I would like to turn them on and off with the twist of the factory fog light switch, regardless if my parking lights or main lights are on. I don't like adding extra switches to my car ha.

idk man i'm just telling you how i did it. i wanted the ability to turn them on or off with the push of a button. i like to run the halo's as my drl's during the day/evening with no fogs or parking lights on.

i like to keep things separate. keep the fog switch for fogs, etc.

here are a few pics, maybe that'll help.

*note : my rocker switches have 3 leads because they are illuminated switches. i have 2 switches because i have audi led strips in the headlights too.

here is the add-a-fuse

That looks nice. Adding switches would be a last resort for me though, so I'm gonna try to fiddle with the fog light switch. The fog light housing is actually black so I'll be unhooking them since they really don't work, so only the halos will come on. Thanks for the great advice though
