Fog light help!

Hey guys, I need help with fog lights on my TL. I have a 2004, and swapped the front bumper with a 2007 Base with a base a-spec lip as well. The 2007 bumper have fog lights, and right now I have empty fog openings and it is really annoying me. Acura wants $500+ for the OEM Fog lights and housing, which I am not willing to pay. I cannot seem to find any aftermarket fog lights for the TL, I've purchased a couple universal ones but they look awful, especially that I'm missing the factory housing. Anyone know of some fairly priced fog lights or have any suggestions for modifications or anything that I could do? Thanks!!!

I got the same problem, did a front end conversion, now I have a 2007 front bumper with no fog lights,

1st the housing that holds them is cheap you can get it from www.hondacuraworld.com for under $50 also on ebaymotors they have for sale fog lights that will fit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-08...=p4506.c0.m245 however they are $250 still alotta loot.

I was think about these Honda lights, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT if they have the same dimension maybe it will fit, not sure posted this question on forum waiting on an answer.

Can you tell me where you purchased your aspec lip, I have a base 2007 bumper aswell...

thanks

Those accord fogs won't fit in those holes you have. The shape is different.

So, I thought that the Accord fog lights fit in the 04-06 TL? Isn't that what people used?

How much do these fog lights differ from the 07-08 fog lights?

I have 04 TL but changed up the front bumper to 2007 style front bumper, so now I'm not sure I can use the accord lights, some say they will still fit with a tiny gap, other say they wont fit, don't how to solve this problem...?

but deff don't wanna shell out $250 for acura oem fog light

he originally said 500 for both...so that's still half price.
I personally think that's a lot of scratch, but I opted to do the accord retrofit so I got away cheap!

If you were to use HID Kit, then you MUST have OEM (glass lens). I think it would save your more money on a long run.

Here is my breakdown:

1. OEM Fog lights Housing $210, bought it off AZ member
2. HID extra $60
3. H8 Harness around $30
4. Fog Light Switch $20

so no matter what you do is still going to be over $300

Aftermarket Depo brand uses a glass lens also. OEM isn't necessary to get the glass.

Cheapest I could get new OEM housings was for 390 shipped, I opted for the aftermarket Depo and saved over 100.

All in all, I think the OEM & aftermarket housing is a rip. It would be worth it if it was a projector style. But original OEM/Aftermarket looks clean as hell.

I have to say from helping another member use some depo/ebay knockoffs for the bumper fog mod...he had a glass lense but no glare shield and he hates how the thing lights up his roof when he pulls up. He said it shoots higher than his projectors.

^^^ Lol of course it scatters the light, it's not a projector.

That is one thing I noticed before buying, both the Depo's I have, and OEM's have a shield that goes around the bulb. The OEM bulb also has a coated tip and does not go past the shield. My HID bulb actually goes past the shield. I had to bend the shield slightly so the bulb didn't contact the shield.

Well yes...but I have OEM with the shield and I don't have the problem he does. then again I went with matching HID fogs and lows so the color would blend. Yellow would probably be more obvious.
