First Timer

So I wanted to spice up my 05 TL engine bay bc it looked like it was missing something.
I'm looking for any comments/reviews and some advice because as the title states, it's my first time. Keep in mind that I actually went to an automotive paint store and got 2 rattle cans of custom paint. I wanna see how long it lasts. The car is satin silver.

Sorry if the throttle body looks like sh*t, im the third owner of this TL and im trying to revive it. It WILL see better days. Ive had it for a year now. I will paint the fuse box satin silver as well. I ran out of paint.

I'm actually on debate about that. Either spend around $100 for a new one or take it off and replace it with some other insulation.
Got any ideas? I read a post on here and someone said something about high temp paint. Idk how effective that is though.

The insulator is designed to drop onto the engine in case of a fire to smother it. It is considered a safety feature but, take it off if you want, I have seen some with polished and airbrushed panels that look really good
