First Service - Advice Please!!!!!
My TL just hit 5200 miles and have not had any major problems. I am going to schedule an appointment at Tustin Acura for service/oil change. Can anyone offer any advice on what to have them look for or fix. (I do have a rattle in my steering wheel and on my passenger side door area - some other minor things) Is there anything I am forgetting to ask for? How much should everything come out to? This is the first time I am taking the car to a dealership for an oil change (normally do myself). Is their oil good stuff because I usually use Mobil 1. Should I always take my car there for Oil change?
Thanks ahead of time for the info and advice!!!!!

There really isn't anything that needs to be done except for the oil change. When you take the car in, mention to the service advisor the various rattles and they'll take car of it under warranty. I do my own changes but you should expect to pay around $30 or so. Anything more and you're not getting good value.
Mobil 1 doesn't come in a 5W20 weight but if you follow RoadRages journals, M1 10W30 is a good substitute. I follow RR recommendations and use Motorcraft 5W20 and have been extremely satisfied, virtually no vaporization after 4000 miles of hard driving and still 60% life left. You can find great deals on both M1 and Motorcraft at Wal-Mart.

Hey Jich505, wel our TLs are equipped with advanced self-rattle correcting technology. Now on the serious side, from personal experience, thorughly inspect your car inside out. Mark the tires if possible to make sure they actually rotated them. And well take all precautions necessary in your best interest, like asking for a copy of the inpection sheet, i know this may sound intense, but do what u think is approriate. My A1 came out to an approx $110.00. Good luck and keep us posted.

Where can I get the option for the "rattle self-fixer"? I think that is a great option and would pay big $$$ for it!
Thanks for all the advice - much appreciated. I will definitely keep you posted and let you know how the service was, not only for the service but the service at TUSTIN. Last time I went there the service guy was kind of an A$$hole. The prts guys are pretty cool though.
Have any of you guys who rotated the tires having any after-effects ie: pulling in your steering wheel or shimming? I know this is based on driving, but has anyone noticed extreme tire wear at this mileage?
Thanks again
