First problem with my TL happened tonight.....
I am not sure what happened either or what caused it. The car has been driven over 200 miles on this tank and there is over 1/4 left. The TIGHTEN FUEL CAP on the MID came on. I was like that is strange since I haven't touched it for over 200 miles. So I got to my next stop, popped the cover and released the cap and retightend it till it did 6 clicks. It was tight as it can be. I remember that I tightened it many clicks anyways before.
So I drive again back home, about 20 miles, its still on. I looked at the Diag screen on the NAVI and it shows the EVAP has a #1 on it now.
Seems to be a slightly common problems by searching the forum but no one really knows what it could really be. Anyone have this problem and actually got it solved? I will have to call the dealer in the morning to find out what to do.
This however is like the first time I used Valero gas in my car compared to Shell or Chevron......hmmm.

Hey, be sure to post whatever the dealer says on here. If it has happened before, I don't know why nobody has said what it is. Unless they did and you just didn't catch that part. Good luck!

Stop running that commie venezualian oil product in the TL and go back to Chevron/Texaco
Was the fuel cap less than 3 clicks tight when you checked it?
Thats is a critical thing to our cars
It is possible to have loaded the vape can up and after it dries all should be well

Dealer just told me to wait a few start cycles like 10 till it goes away. They said just make sure the cap is on. Well I have always done my cap like 5 clicks before closing the door. So I know it was on there good.
