I used to always make fun of honda's I'm not gonna lie but I have fallen in love with Acura TLs. I'm tired of driving American crap so I pulled the trigger on a new black Acura TL Type S yesterday. I pick it up in about 4 hours. I plan on puttin a ton of mileage on it so it's probably going to remain pretty stock except for tint, high end stereo, and maybe some maya 19's...

The tahoe will be in the family forever haha. I plan on lifting it again and turning it into my hunting vehicle. It really has seen its better days.

I've heard these cars are a biatch to add a stereo too. Has anyone added a JL cleansweep. If y'all could link me to some stuff I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also I really love Maya STMs but I don't love the price. I saw some knock offs on ebay called XIX that look almost identical. Is anyone running those? If so links to that or advice is greatly appreciated.

I am big into stereo too...

I just added 2 10's in the trunk, with a 1500-watt amp, and use the remaining factory speakers... unplugged the stock sub, of course.

The sound quality is EXCELLENT! You will be able to turn the bass gain down on the factory speakers, since you have the subs. This makes them less stressed, sound WAY better, and makes the whole overall system sound fantastic!!

PM me if you need help with the subs... it's a little "tricky" due to the active noise cancellation unit the TL-S uses, because you have to disable that for a sub to work.

 

That's karma for ya.

I guess I better stop making fun of Audi RS4's too....

i went to the TL-S after driving an '01 yukon denali, so i know where you're coming from. it's quite a change. i like the TL-S a ton and its a lot easier in general than the yukon. faster too......
