I have a 2004 TL and it is great!!! I am at about 3500 miles and I was wondering if I should change my oil or wait for the maintence minder to tell me. It says I still have 50% oil life!! What should I do?

 

Wait till MID tells you that it's due for A1 maintenance. It will come up depending on the use of your car. Mine came at 5200 miles and I just did the Oil change at the dealer for $39.00 and got the tires rotated at Costco. Dealer told me for $75 for both and thought I'll save some money by going to Costco.

 

How much did you pay for tire rotation at Costco?

 

the service manager told me it goes by how hard you drive the car he said the tl does not go by mileage so at 3800 my service reminder came on he said you can drive easy and get almost 10g without an oil change, who drivves like that? i switched to synthetic and still drive it like i stole it. ha ha

Since I always got all my tires (old car and other van) from costco they did not charge me. Though I know they charge $16 for balancing if you've not bought the tirer from them.

 

I've got 3500 and its still on 70%..... I will be changing this first oil at 5000 miles max, no matter what.. After that I'll follow the monitor.
