All I just purchased my second Acura and this time it was the 04 TL 6 Speed w/Navi White Diamond and so far it seems to be a great car (except for the usual crap that is very bugging about it .... ie: Flat Spotting of tires, Brake Noise, ect). But other than that I think I will like it much more than my 01 CL-S w/Navi.

Now for my concern about this, I was told from the dealer that I was not to change the oil for the first time until the Driver Info Center instructed me to or somewhere around 7500 miles. No to me this seems slightly excessive and I am not sure what everyone else is doing so I thought I would ask and just get some feedback.

If anyone would like to give me some suggestions I would be very grateful.

Change it when the MID tells you to do it. If you get to say 5% and you are planning a long trip, then change it then. Milage will vary depending on type of driving. Average is 5 K to 7.5 K when the MID tells you to change the oil.
