Was this Acura of Brookfield? They are supposed to be getting in a Black/Black Type-S with an Automatic soon too.

Also I thought the rims would look better in person, but I was wrong. They have to go..

I don't mind the wheels anymore they kinda grew on me, but they do stand out, they do offer a spoke chrome 17 as an opt, but its chrome, and the grey ones don't look so hot in chrome either, they need another painted wheel

I don't think the base 07 TL's wheels are any better quite frankly. The 04-06 TL's wheels looks way better than both the base 07 and Type S wheels IMO.

I don't even know what to do.

My parents say I can get a brand new TL Type S with white exterior/black interior 6spd.

Or I can get a used m3, I am so lost now as to what I'm going to do... This car seems great, but... Imean I had one acura and I hate fwd... nissans's are out of the Q... what would one do if they were me and had a 50-60k cad budget for a car? I am so torn between this

Thanks for the info dampfnudel

It actually looks pretty good from that scan. Nothing about DVD-Audio menus/track display though.
You're welcome.

I went through the '07 TL owner's manual (.pdf file) and didn't see any specific info on playing a DVD-A disc. Anyway, the new MP3/WMA mode is a nice addition, although I think Honda should have added this feature to the 3G from the beginning.

What would you need in order make an 04-06 utilize the MP3/WMA or XM/AUX support?

No gaurantee that's all you'll need, but pretty sure.

You just answered your question. You hate FWD so go for the M3

I'm way glad I'm not the only one who hates the wheels/options. Offering the base TL wheels as an option for the Type S seems like such a no brainer. If anyone hits their dealer up on this, or pushes the issue can you please post the results?

I love everything about the S except those wheels, and there is no way I'm dropping 40G on a car knowing full and well that I already hate the wheels.

A new sound system would be a good start. Almost anything is possible if you have the cash. If I get the '07 TL, I have a feeling that some 04-06 TL owners will have MP3/AUX envy when they see my '07. I'm sure determined owners will get the new key so that shouldn't be an issue.

Forgot to say it has to be a little quick.

Not to mention I'd like a hard modders market following the car.

The TL has been pickedu p now with the quick production of a supercharger and whatnot,

Owning my 02 TL S (still have it) and having SS-p's on it is great, and I just want a new car where it has the backing of a TL, what scares me is the NEW engine not just a revision for the new Type S. It's so promising, it's so quick and it'd be a great daily driver but I"m still not sure I'd like to be stuck with this car for a minimal 1.5-2 years.

ANy other cars that are out there that are good? The 335i is OUT of the question, saw it and did NOT want it, interior is NOT up to snuff.

Thanks.

Envy won't be too bad... It's the Nav I want. Meh with mp3, I hate burning disks.

The problem with the AUX/mp3 CD is you get no video... so you still gotta buy a nav2go/avelectronic unit... and the connection will be crazy.

My 2006 has an avelectronic switcher that allows three Audio and Video inputs.
I have a DVD/PS2 in the glove box, an Ipod Video on the dash, and a Mediagate HDD in the console.
The avelectronic unit also has a built in TV tuner and antenna... supports an installed backup camera (and 2 others if I so choose), and if I ever get around to installing headrest monitors, will support INDEPENDENT playback of these sources.
The front can watch Ipod Video, the left rear can play PS2, and the right rear can watch TV.

Needless to say, I have less money tied up in ALL of this for the price to upgrade to the new headunit... Something to consider, especially if you have a large mp3 collection on Ipod, and don't want to cart around CDs.

Drove the type s today.....at WOT the exhaust is much sportier sounding, acceleration is Ok, the paddle shifters are excellent and the hold in all gears cool (1st included) Is it worth the extra? maybe but not over my 05 A-spec, the G35 seems very tempting right now (2007 model of course)

The one thing that suprised me was that there is a 2007 A-spec kit for the Type-S, it looks cool and they are keeping the wheels from 05/06

I am also suprised that the Type S has 17" wheels

Haha 20s and a new type S? lucky guy

If i were to get the type S i would change the lower grill on the bumper to get rid of the fog lights. Then finish the smoke on the headlights and get Blue DRLs. Put my Aspec rims on it. done.

God i want it too but then i know i'll regret when Sh-Awd version comes out. only thing stopping me.

That's a bummer, since in stock form it'll smoke a Type-S and be much easier to squeeze extra horsepower from. Modders are already crawling all over it.

I do agree about the interior, though.

I got mine on hold. I'm 19. I've got a WDP on hold but I dunno what color interior I want

Can it come in tan/black 2 tone? If it can then I'd rather have that, the black/cf was all good until I realized I had to sit in this car everyday.

Nonetheless I'm going to get it and I'll show pics when I have it.

So I guess nobody has actually bought this TypeS yet? I just wanna gauge what the price people are paying OTD. I'll probably look to grab one in Nov-Dec. A Christmas gift for myself. =)

Still, I don't know where he got his tax rate from, in Canada the lowest tax rate is in Alberta (6%) and the highest in NF (21.2%) with Ontario and BC in the middle at 14% and 13% respectively but his tax is even below the lowest.

I saw and sat in the new 07 G35, it's fugly IMHO and the interior is even worse. It joins the ranks of the M for cheesy interior decor and the quality is not so great. Worst Nissan product has to be the 07 Altima, the interior is bordering on GM quality. With all the Infinitis and Nissans, you slam the door and it sounds like a tin can with marbles in it.
