First Autocross Experience - 1991 Miata
My friends and I bought a miata to work on and race for fun.
A friend and i went to el toro this past sunday for our first autocross event ever.
Some really fast cars out there and a few of the fastest were 88-91 civic hatchbacks with ridiculous suspension and basic bolt ons. they were in 68s range.
Our old miata with chinese no-name tires and a roll bar managed 80s with the instructor. we managed 85-86s on our tries..not too bad i guess.
i heard that this is the last year el toro will be used. that's unfortunate because it's a really nice place to hold such an event!
anyways, some boring video of us driving (the course is not shown). it's no track and we never left 2nd gear but it's the most fun i've had in a car so far.
