Well here's a testament to the Acura bumpers. I was bumped twice at a standing stop after the driver behind me let his foot off the break. My TL has about 900 kms on it. Not a mark, not a scratch - and it was about 5 degrees celcius.

 

You're lucky. There was an article on msnbc.com about how SUV's are damaged by only 5mph hits to the bumper. The Cadillac had over $6,000 in damage!

 

Not me. Same scenario, bumper gouged. Still in the shop. Did a crappy paint job and I wouldn't take it.

 

I have about 900 miles on mine, and now I have the impression of a jerks license plate screws in my Abyss Blue rear bumper! I wish I could use the color matched body side molding (which I didn't get) on my rear bumper. It doesn't look that noticeable. I think I'll wait till after the winter to get it touched up.
