Finance Specials This Weekend?

Saw it mentioned in another thread that at least one dealer was offering 2.9% financing through Honda this weekend. Can anyone else confirm this or similar promotions you've heard of that are currently being offered, particularly in NJ. I'm picking my TL up this weekend in NJ and 2.9% would be an improvement on the rate I've been offered.

Yes, I do believe that AHFC is overing 2.9% this weekend. I wish they would have done a lease program too.

I have called a few dealers this morning and they have not heard of the financing special of 2.9% for 60 months. They said it still could happen but they haven't heard yet. Can anyone confirm this?

Couple Chicago dealers confirmed it, and a St. Louis dealer advertised it. Only will be through Monday - all paperwork must be in by Mon night.

From what I understand any dealer can do this any time. What they do is charge you full MSRP for the car and for the interest rate they take the difference between your personal credit rating and 2.9% or 0% or whatever. You now have a new car and they have a nice profit. Now everyone is happy right?

How do you know it's 1%. Are they advertising this?

What kind of credit rating do you need to get a rate like that?

Yes, 2.9% financing until closing today. I live in Lost Angeles and was almost going to (finally) buy my TL. Alas, the dealer is seeking MSRP (which is often the case with low financing right?).

I'll just sit it out until later this year (probably September/October). I hope the lower financing (or comparable) is still around (or dealers are willing to sell at close to invoice).
