Finally the wait is over!!!!

Hey guys I finally got my anthracite 6speed with navi!!! After 1 month and 3 days its here. I love the car. I just gotta hold back on the acceleartion. I just got a few question. The MPG CPU trip..... so far the distance is 73miles and its MPG is 15??? Is this normal or because its still brand new? When i drove the auto demo TL for a month it was like 21-22 MPG. I drove around lastnight and I did not see any improvment with the MPG. Also, my brakes kind of squeek when I press when I brake. Is this normal with brembo? Ok, just wondering please help. Thanks.

The mpg reading is the total since reset, if you reset it and go on the hiway
and drive at 60 mph easy for a while, it will go up to 32 or more.
If you do mostly cold starts and short trips with lots of time spent in
lower gears, it will read very low like you have.

I have the same car that I waited about five weeks to get. Took delivery July 29th. Had the same concerns about gas mileage. It was very low like yours (17)when new then increased to 23 mpg on the second tank of gas. I haven't reset it yet so it's averaged from delivery.

I had a 2001 CLS (5spd auto) before the TL and found the mileage dropped terribly if you accelerate hard and often. If you take it easy the mileage was pretty good and very good on long trips. I would expect the TL to do the same as it's the same engine, same weight and manufacture mpg numbers are almost identical.

I don't have any brake squeeks. But lots of dust. I can't believe how much. Even with light braking.

Good luck with it and enjoy!

Thanks, I'm just a little curious. I need to read the book when I get home from work.

I had the same problem with the Brakes.... You need to set the Pads, so go out and stand on the brakes a few times.... Don't cause an accident but brake pretty hard without stopping completely and that should stop the noise.... I get around 21mpg with my car..

On the lower left corner of the instrument cluster there are 2 buttons (SELECT and <>). Press > until the digital display reads TRIP COMPUTER (or something like that) and then hit SELECT.

BUttons are on the lower right side of the instrument cluster (most likely blocked by the steering wheel).
