FINALLY Something Goes Right!

Just did the 3rd & 4th pressure switches....

Thanks to Matt (I Hate Cars) & Aaron (SharksBreath) for their help! I had VERY VERY rough 3rd and 4th shifts before AND after my transmission rebuild. Like throw you forward hard. Now it's smooth as butter. With all the B.S. that's been happening to me with my audio, it's nice that something finally went my way. To all of you debating this that have rough to very hard shifts...DO IT!!

Glad it helped. So I'm guessing the switches are the likely suspect of the first one going out. Just make sure you do it every 2 years regardless of mileage if you keep the car. I'm overdue to do mine again.

We should do ours together! I'm on vacation next week if you're available!

Next week is great. I need to burn through some vacation. Let me know a day in advance and I'll get the day off. Anything front Tuesday to Thursday would be best. I need to make sure they have them in stock but if not it usually takes a day or two.

I have to replace both of them too, but not knowing perfectly about it keeps me away.
Found these two.

Are there more details around that I couldn't find?

I just did mine as well. My shifts weren't bad in auto, but in sport shift they were terrible. Seems like the 3/4 switches helped out all the way around.

I had my transmission rebuilt recently and when I go from reverse to drive or from park to drive, the car does the same thing the OP mentioned about wanting to throw you forward and the mechanic that did the rebuild chocked it up being the clutches being brand new. I told him and even test drove with him to show that it doesn't shift smoothly from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and he just said the same thing. I don't buy it but I am not mechanically inclined so I don't even know what to tell him.
