After a year of searching, i have finally pulled the trigger on a Black 2008 Acura TL Type-S AT! I might get it either tomorrow or by friday. Can you guys tell me what to check for when i pick it up or will they give me a checklist? Thanks.

Oh i did and everything works fine. But I've seen someone here posted a checklist of the things to look for when they delivered the car. I just can't find it though.

check carfax, any body that has been repainted, vin numbers, and unusual sounds while driving.

congratz on the car! ... i think taking delivery of a preowned car will be a little diff than new ...

when i took delivery back in 06 ... things i looked for were dents, minor scratches, tears on the upholstery, stains, all VIN stickers.

I didn't worry about much else, because i knew warranty would cover it if there was anything wrong

But, i dont know if you can ask them to fix minor dings and such, they would prob just say that is part of buying a preowned car.

if the car drives well, and everything works i think that is a good check before taking delivery IMO

 

yeah...you should have checked before....

 

Make sure the blinker fluid is topped off before taking the vehicle off the lot. That stuff is very expensive at the auto parts stores.

Congrats on the TL-s but as for the age it's all about what you choose to spend your money on. I'm sure a lot of us could've afforded a TL at 20 (I actually contemplated it) but I decided to spend my money on school instead. Now that I'm done school I paid off my 07 and no student loan payments!
