Picked up an automatic 2006 White Diamond Pearl w/ Tan interior. It has 96K miles but super clean. Had 1 owner, no accidents, 4 pages worth of carfax with all maintenance history, AND the timing belt & water pump service was done 1K miles ago!!!! Brand new ceramic brakes, new tires, only 2 small dings on the entire car.
Now what do I need to know about the tranny. I keep reading about the 3rd and 4th gear valves or something?

I think with the auto you don't have to worry about the 3rd and 4th pressure switches on the tranny. Someone correct me if I'm wrong or confirm if I'm right.

Great pick-up! I don't think you will run into any transmission issues; 2006 was a pretty clean model year. You're good to go with that kind of maintenance

Actually, the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches are an excellent maintenance job to do with the 5AT TL's....along with 3x3 fluid "flushes".

Well manual transmissions don't have switches, so it's only an AT thing.
