Ookay, I'm the guy who's wing purchase was mentioned (and other thread was linked to in the begining of this thread)

I love my spoiler... you can see the picture in my thread for yourself. If the deck lid spoiler is anything like the quality of my much more difficult to produce Wing Spoiler, then it's simply great!

Ron paints and packs extremely well... he says he sells them to car dealerships, and I believe him!! The quality is that good.

1) These are not "fake"... just not OEM.

2) These are not simply plastic... they are not simply fiberglass... they are fiberglass reinforced plastic. This is the good stuff, it doesn't warp or crack. Plastic alone warps, fiberglass alone cracks eventually... this is the best of both worlds and works well.

3) It does not come with springs and I consider this absolutely FINE. The trunk was too hard to close easily in my mind before anyhow... now it's easier, and it still pops with the release, so what's the problem here? Deck Lid spoiler will be even less weight...

4) The finish on my Wing was actually better than the finish on my car. On the car I can see slight ripples, etc... on the Wing it is a mirror finish. This guy is good.

5) Did I mention Ron sells good quality stuff??? Look at his e-bay feedback... it's correct.

Just make sure all directions are followed and prep the paint surface well where the tape is used (usually alcohol is used for this)

If you are that worried... pay more. I'm glad I didn't.

So you're saying the finish on the wing is different than the finish on the car? It doesn't even have the slight ripple effect? What a rip-off!

I love it how people promise to post pics but never do. Just don't say you're going to post pics... it's pretty straightforward. (j/k)

For all you whiners and complainers... this product is very nicely finished, no blemishes in the pain or the clear coat. It is rather heavy and very solid. It fit perfectly onto the deck of my trunk, and installation was a breeze. After letting the adhesive sit for about 30 minutes, it's impossible to pry off. You would need a couple screwdrivers to do it.

I'm sorry I can't give you points right now, PeterUbers ("spread them around" my butt). Now you've got me considering the spoiler. It looks good for $160, and I can install it myself. Thank you for your pictures.

There is no template. The lip spoiler has a little "lip" on the posterior aspect of the spoiler such that it overhangs the edge of the trunk a little. This allows you to push the spoiler flush against the trunk and automatically align it perfectly to the contour of the trunk. Therefore, the only alignment you must do is centering it, and that is easy. I just used a Vis-a-Vis overhead projector pen to mark the boundaries on my trunk, and installation was easy after that.

Looks great Peter! Aren't you glad you didn't pay that huge premium for OEM?? I sure was...

Steve -- I am very excited that I only paid $170 shipped for this .. b/c quite frankly, I would never have done it for anything over $200 -- too much money for such a subtle feature. However, now that I see it on my own car... it really complements the lines of the car and adds more sporty character. I like it very much -- and trust me, it's on there VERY securely. Thanks for the tip on this alternative to the OEM spoiler!
