Finally Done with NBP (PICTS!!)

Finally finished Modifying my NBP.

Zaino
Eibach Pro Kit
Specialty Products Camber Kit
18" Forged SSR 18x8 48 offset
245/40/18 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Body Kit with Deck Lid Spoiler
3M Clear-Bra on Hood, Fenders, Mirrors, Bumper and Aluminum Panel on Hood.

I still have to re Zaino the hood, fenders and bumper with the film but I'm waiting for that thing to cure so that it is firmly attached to the body and I don't get any materials underneath the edges.

This car is identical to what I was planning right down to the colors, wheels, tires, lowering springs, bodykit and lip spoiler except for the clear bra. It looks phenominal.

This is terrible. All was fine until that Purdue thing on the back. Go IU. Otherwise, looks fantastic.

How do you like those Goodyear F-1s? I had them on my '02 Type S and loved 'em. Good choice.

The car looks great, black is amazing when it has been freshly washed.

I honestly can say that your 2004 TL is the best looking of any I have seen so far. The only thing I would add would be bright red Brembo brakes all around. They would look great on a black car and tie in nicely with the side markers and tail lights.

Just a thought.

Ok. I just called my wife in here to show here exactly what I was going to do to my car. 6500 miles on it and those are the exactly same tires I am getting. Your car is PERFECT!!!! That is exactly what I am going to do. Awesome taste and very class ride.

Great work! I'm interested in your tint job. Is that 35%? If I may ask where did you have it done? I'm looking for a reputable tinter, mainly for a huper optik installation.

Those GT1's are perfect for the TL. Thanks for all the PM info earlier.

I'll see if I can't wedge those on my 6spd when it arrives.

Perfect TL - you should be proud!:worship:

Great. Now all you need is an UZI to hang out the window to do your drive-by. What the heck am I doing in here? I just don't get it.

rkillian,

This may be a stupid question, but did you have the clear bra put on before or after you added the body kit? Does the kit cover up any existing pieces where the bra was installed? I don't know if I should get the kit, then the bra, or if it really matters. I'm still undecided on getting the kit.

Nice pics.

Rocketsfan:
I had the bra installed sort of at the end. the bra does not cover the front spoiler. I didn;t have the rocker panels (side skirts) installed at the time I had the Bra installed. The spoiler has such a narrow profile to the front of the vehicle that I just don't see it getting much damage.
What they did do was put an extra piece over the brushed aluminum accent on the hood. This is actual aluminum and any ding would seriously detract from the car.
Depending on your driving conditions, you might want to have the side skirts done as well.

What the heck does that mean? Are you trying to say his car is somehow "ghetto" for being tastfully modified? If so, you are not only small minded, but apparently lack any taste for sports sedans. You had it right, what are you doing here?? Maybe you should look into buying a Buick instead.

If I misinterpreted your post and it was not an attack on rkilian's TL as I suspect, please accept my sincerest apology.

It may not be everyone’s taste. But surly you can appreciate what rkilian has done with his car without wanting to do it to yours. This car has some good classic lines and can take on the persona of a high end 4 door sedan commuter or to the extreme of a high polished tricked out ride without looking too contrived. I appreciate rkilian’s dedication to his car and the time and effort he has put into it. It shows.

How does the car ride with the Pro-Kit? I think that may be my first mod.

And is the camber kit absolutely necessary?

That "UZI" comment should have been directed at the TL A-Spec concept. This car looks fantastic! I agree with Mav and give it my vote for the best looking TL yet. These are the kind of tasteful, subtle enhancements (along with the 300+ horsepower, etc.) Acura should offer on an S type.

Makes me wish I had gone with NBP. I gave in to my practical side and got SSM w/5AT when my "gut" said NBP w/6MT. I still like the SSM, but this car....WOW!

nickademus, why would you make a comment like that? I don't think we get that. I believe rkilian's TL captures the true spirit of the car. How do you see the TL?
