Finally after 4-5 long months, I got one

Hello all!

I have been lurking for a while and have been doing a lot of research on the site for some time now. Seems to be a great group of people in here with a lot of talent and good information.

I have been looking for a good TL for about 4-5 months now and finally picked one up last weekend. I am very picky about what I want in a car once I decide on one and I refuse to overpay for one and tend to hold out until I get a steal which is why it takes me so long.

I finally picked up a 2005 TL black with Navigation, car is clean as can be, not even a single dent. It has 76k miles on it and the Navigation unit went bad in 2007 under warranty so it got the new one with Acura link and back up camera, also has the ipod cable hookup... I love the car and it is a blast to drive so far... Picked it up for $9,800

Plan is to tint the windows and some LED interior lights, eventually a drop and probably forgestar F14's

Here are a couple of pictures, haven't taken any myself yet.

Very nice, and 76K miles is nothing for these cars. I'm at 95K and the car runs like new.

I have to be honest, after having my TL for 8 years (just a couple of months shy of 8 years), I still love driving it. If anything happened to it, I'd probably go out and get another one (it's that good). Plus, look at all the money you save getting a nice 'pre-owned' example.

For $9800, you did very well.

Thanks guys! Yeah I have always loved them but never really picked one up because I enjoyed having my "toys" too much haha. This will be the best of both worlds for me for now.

Another question, How do you edit a post after it has already been posted? Does this forum not have that feature?

You have a short time to edit after posting, once that time limit (whatever it is) passes, no more editing is possible.

^^ Thanks- I didn't know the limit was 5 minutes.

Looks good and welcome. It took me even longer to find a six speed tl but I found one back in November it was a one owner and it only had 76k miles on it. So far there is not anything I don't like about the car

Very clean NBP TL. Good deal also. Picked mine up last year around May, 2008 TL-S with 38K miles. Paid a bit more though. Register her at www.myacura.com, save your radio and navi codes there for safe keeping.

Congrats and welcome to AZ!!

I priced getting a backup camera in my TL a few years ago that would work with the Nav screen- the installer wanted something like $700 for the rear camera and the interface + installation- clearly not worth it (for me).

Thanks guys! I love driving it, it's definitely pretty fun for a daily but is still very comfortable... It needs some rear pads though as they squeak when I'm driving and things like that bug me so much! Do you guys have any recommendations on pads that don't give out much brake dust and are quiet... The car has cross drilled rotors on it.

I bought the car with it installed... The original nav unit went bad back in 2007 when it was still under warranty so this got the new Nav with Acura link and the back up camera installed from the dealer.... Very fortunate I know
