Finally!!!

After six weeks of shopping and searches, I finally think I've managed to score a 3G. Took some doing living in this place, but the number is an '05, SSM/charcoal, 88K, nav, auto, with Acura CPO. Oh, and for once, a spotless car fax.

My 1Gen got totalled by a hail storm visiting family in North Dakota this summer, and this is going to cost a bunch more than I wanted, but at least I'll have a good car to drive and drive. Miles on the clock don't concern me with these cars, just that the previous owner didn't trash it. I have an independent broker's notarized report on that.

Finally.

Yeah, SSM is not at the top of my favorite colors, but will do nicely in a pinch. Not my least favorite, either.

I'll get some pics up after I get it in my driveway.

After searching for six weeks, you can't even imagine. If it wasn't for the fact that I found 4 others that would have done nicely, only to have them sitting at dealerships that define stealership, it was getting really frustrating.

Patience is virtue, though, for the others that are looking.

Don't forget to register her here: www.myacura.com. You can save your radio and navi codes here. Also check for any recalls. I know there are a few out there.

Acura CPO with 88K Miles? I didn't think they would certify anything with over 80K?

That is the part that puzzles me. I have no idea. Even if its only had a CPO inspection, that is good enough. This is our second car and daddy's toy. It will fit that role very nicely. The '97 only racked up 5-6K miles/year, so I'm really not all that worried about it.

Whatever needs fixed will get fixed, and I hope that I love this car as much as I loved that wonderful old 1st Gen.

Yep, he was right. I'll have to check that out. Might be dealer certified. Oh well. I had a contact look at it and drive a couple of days ago and he also said it was go.

When you purchase an Acura Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, you can expect the same uncompromising standards of a brand-new Acura. All vehicles are under six years old with less than 80,000 miles and have a 12-month/12,000-mile Certified Limited Warranty. Each vehicle must also pass a 150-point vehicle inspection and is covered by an extensive Roadside Assistance program.

Your right. They don't. I used to work for them in the service department.

Congrats on the new car. What did the stealership want for the other 4? Why did they give you a satisfactory price on yours?

Don't worry about the mileage. I have an 06 that i bought new. It has 80K on it and it still looks and runs like new. I seriously think it could go another 150K without breaking a sweat.

Enjoy!

Here She Is!

Droid pics in pretty poor light, but you get the idea. The interior is nearly perfect.

Some old, fat, bald guy had to get into this one. Don't really want to know who, though.

This is not a full CPO car, as everybody stated. This supposedly has a dealer backed CPO 12 month/12,000 warranty, though.

The wife wanted her in the picture to send out to our family. That's Rosie, our 13 year old Golden. She's too old to be doing much of anything anymore.

Nice car Beaver... if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you? I'm looking looking at an 06' that is very clean but priced a little high IMHO.

It was $16K out the door. That included shipping it from Salt Lake City to central Wyoming.

Not bad... the one I'm considering is 18K +TTL (private seller) but it's clean as a whistle.

That would be about right for a mid mileage '06, or a low mile 05
