NO videos sadly but eh these were all spure of the moment races.

So about 2 months ago I got my 2001 Acura TL-P!
First race I have ever done on it was verses my friend in his 1995 BMW 740il, we raced down a street, he was behind me from start, at first I was pulling away but as I approached the stop sign he went bozonkers and just ran it and went around me so he got me on that one race.

Race 2 was against my friend and his 98 3 series, I also raced him down the street but yeah before I came down to the end I had 5+ car lengths on him easy.

Race 3 was against my friends BMW 740il again, we raced from maybe a 30mph roll to 80mph I was in 3rd gear, he gunned it and so I dropped to 2nd and floored it, I caught up to him instantly, by 50mph I was passing as I came to around 70 something I shifted into 4th and he caught up and then we braked. so it was about even in till the end he caught up

Race 4 was verses my friends 2007 Honda Factory Performance edition Civic SI. We raced from a 35mph roll in till 70, I dropped into 2nd and gunned it I waited my gears out in till redline... anyways by the time we hit 70ish I had 2 car lengths on him.

Race 5 was against a 20xx Pontiac GTX or something all I know it was kind of bulky but did have dual exhaust that was shaped like more oval sort of. Anyways we stopped at the redlight I knew he wanted some action cus we were doing 50 on 35 before the light. A cop was there but thankfully he turned left, so when the light came green I gunned it, tires even spun a little we went from 0-75, as the bend came I hit the brakes but I did look where he was I had at least 3 car lengths on him easy, he didn't want to lose so bad he took the bend at 70+mph and sort of cut my lane and he hit the brakes so hard it locked up his tires and he spun to the side and came to complete then drove off into a side street, crazy stuff thought he was about to hit me.

Race 6 again verses my friend 740il, this time from a red light.... yeah I'm sure you know what happened with my 5-ss I raped him, at the top of third I had maybe 6 car lengths so I just let off.


So far that's about it, I had a little encounter with my brother 03' Zo6 but it was to wet to race him, I tried but TCS kept turning on so I let off.


I will keep this updated.

I also raced my friend Toyota Avalon and Toyota Camry, easy wins.

My friends parents just bought his ass a 2009 Honda Accord, so I keep pushing him to race me but he just says no... puss.

 

There are some race threads that don't fail...yours isn't one of them.

 

ps. dont try to race your friends new accord... his car will eat yours..

lmfao, aww come on now, give me some credit it was like 2am when i typed that up, I could of have made it more detailed and interesting but I was mad tired.

Anyways rockstar his accord is a heavy ass car first off, plus it's the l4 not V6.

Lol I don't even have one ticket yet, don't plan on getting any either these weren't done in like a one day period, plus I haven't pushed the TL in forever, I'm keeping it slow and just chilling no need to push a car that isn't made for it. Only got pulled over once, for no front plates and for my left headlight being out, but didn't get a ticket for it.

Is the SI your friends first manual? I would think even a decently driven 8th gen SI would at least be even with you. Esp from 35-70 what is that 4 seconds? To put 2 lengths? What you got in that stock TLp? Lol

 

the SI will hang with a TLP and possibly win with a good driver depending on the type of start.... they run low 15's- mid 15's i dont know why you put 2 car lengths... maybe hes a bad driver?

and ineedmyfixofacura... if the accord is heavy what do you think our TL is? lol

without weight reduction this thing is a boat...

and if its a I4accord why bother racing...?

 

Lol, it's just a fun race nothing like at a race track lol, a friendly thing... he just talks a lot of shit about my TL lol.

Plus whoever told me the Accord weighed like 4300lbs lied. According to the site I went on it says the L4 AUTO weighs in at curb weight of 3338 and curb of the TL is 3447, I can still take him lol.

To the SI, yeah this is his 2nd year driving the SI so idk I guess he sucks at driving you can say that's why I won.

TL is completely stock I do want to get a blue powder coated AEM CAI.

 

The 4300lbs you were quoted was probobly GVWR. That is with a full load(passengers and cargo) what the accord will weigh. Curb weight is what the car weighs by itself with no additional weight added.

 

Yeah I understand that, it was a friend of mine who told me that, so idk where he got that info from.

Either way my TL can take it down, well the L4's at least.

heh, I also raced my cousins 01 540i 6mt I knew I would lose but I was surprised it was neck and neck 1st and 2nd around the top of 3rd he my front bumper was at the hide passenger door. So I'd say TL's are probably one of the best luxury sport sedans on the market, for what they sell them for at least.

I might be updating to a 3G TL around the end of this year, haven't decided yet though.

 

Eh, thought I would make an interesting update. I raced a buddy of mines 2007 Scion TC. My car as everyone knows is stock. his car has a full BORLA exhaust and some kind of CAI. On a side street (late at night) we did a quick 0-50ish run which he got me by the end of the street we were dead even. So I grabbed 3 friends and he got 1 and we went out to the regular road, it's like 11pm no cars at all.

We do a 25mph roll. He gets the jump and pull ahead by maybe a bumper, by the time we hit 40mph I was reeling him in slowing and at the top of 2nd (60mph) I had more then half a car length on him. So yeah my lovely stock tl-p whooped on a modded TC with TWO extra passengers one passenger weighs 200 other one weighs about 130.

MY friend is thinking about putting some headers on his TC. His is auto as well, a 5spd would def pulled longer then the auto.

I know it's not amazing like the other stores ppl have but whatever lol hope u enjoy it.
