Question On the fence...help push me over, guys

Been lurking here for a minute and am in hot pursuit for an 08 Type S (Automatic Transmission). I know y'all typically don't like these post questions, but I would like to request your expert/honest opinions:

After about 5-6 months of searching, I am currently in negotiations with someone who is the 1st owner of an 08 TL Type S, Kinectic Blue Pearl, with 14,000 miles. For those miles, i almost couldn't believe what I was reading. Small scratch on the bottom of the passenger rear door; other than that, looks immaculate

Clean title/carfax; automatic transmission. $24,750. Should I pull the trigger?

Blue book is spot-on for $24k and assuming you want the car and assuming nothing weird with it I would say offer 22 and settle on 23. It's a seller's market to some extent for '08 Type-S and unless your willing to travel to find the 'perfect car' this sounds like a reasonable deal. You'll probably get the usual responses from others like "you should wait and find a cheaper car" but it's ultimately up to you - how bad do you want this car? How long have you been looking? etc...

Word, thanks for the response. He started at $26.9K, and said he rejected offers for around $22K, so $24,750 is where we are currently.

And its funny that you say willing to travel etc, because that is the exact scenario for this car. I am located in ATL, GA, he is in Indiana. So I haven't even driven it yet, but it also comes with an Acura bumper to bumper warranty good thru 2015, which helps build confidence in me flying up there and driving it down. People with Type S's for sale, definitely know they are the power players.

Not at the moment, but he gave me the VIN number and I will purchase a one-time Carfax when we settle on price. I project still having to pay for the flight up there, Carfax check, and $100ish to have an Acura dealership mechanic give it a good once-over before I commit to purchase.

Sounds like a good find. I love the super low mileage rare finds. Since there aren't too many Type S's with such low miles out there anymore, I can fill you in with my purchase.
I paid 23k for my Moroccan Red Pearl/ebony 6mt Type S with 4,900 miles on it a few months ago. I consider that a very good deal so I think yours is in a pretty good range I suppose. The Type S is a very solid car with literally no problem areas. Kinetic Blue Pearl is a great color and is exclusive to the Type S model if you didn't already know that. As others have said I think the ball is always in the sellers court with extremely low mileage rare color Type S's. Simply put, there are no others in the country in that color with that mileage. That's why I jumped on mine so quickly when I saw it listed because I knew there will literally never be another MRP 6mt Type S for sale again with that kind of mileage. Do it man, and do it quick. Trust me :-)
Oh and btw, too bad you weren't looking a few months ago because I actually had to fly down to ATL to get my Type S. That would have been an easy transaction for you. Ofcourse you may not want manual though.

Haha, you're lucky, because I actually have been looking for months on months, just not for a manual. Also appreciate the input and your car info....you got your baby for a STEAL, man.
