fellow TL drivers quick question

I have a 04 Tl with A/t with about 60k miles i just got back from the dealer where they replaced a motor mount and my power steering pump now i only took it in for a cold start sputtering and air bag light. My question is, is it normal for a TL to have a sputtery feeling usually in the morning i guess since its been sitting all night and also everytime i open my hood i here some time of tapping noise. I was just wondering if these symptoms are normal for TL drivers or is it just mine.

Depends how cold cold is. Is it 30° cold or is it -10° cold? Tapping could be cold related too, while the car circulates the oil. I don't get it in my TL, but it happens in my Subaru when it is cold as hell. Sometimes it sounds like there is no oil in there, till it finally gets all circulated.

Neither the sputtering nor the tapping noise is normal -- even in the cold. Hell, it was 6 °F over the holiday break and my TL sat outside. It started right up and ran just a smoothly and quietly as it does when it's garaged and 50 °F. I would take it back to the dealership ASAP and make them fix it.

I had a similar problem with the sputter start, and the next time I went to start it, it didn't... battery died... weather about 14 degrees

well where i'm from it doesn't get that cold maybe 45degrees so probably not the whether i'll just take it back and probably use the lemon law because this is the 5th time me taking it back and i'm tired of the back and forth. Anyone had to use the lemon law before if so how did you go about it

@import4life - there is a booklet describing it that should have come with your car... it varies state-to-state so better to look it up.
