Feeling a bit dumb I cant find the IAC valve
Ive searched the fsm went to myacura to look at the visuals to get an idea shit they dont even sell an replacement but I know there is one Ive cleaned them in several cars and now I got a grumpy idle and cleaning the throttle body wasnt good enough?

I'd check and blow out the EGR valve with compressed air first. Many folks here have had it get plugged up causing a rough idle. Do a search, there are a couple of threads on fixing a rough idle by blowing out/replacing the EGR valve.
The IAC is only mentioned on one page in the SM, pg 9-3. But it doesn't really indicate where it is....somewhere under the intake manifold cover.

remove TB assembly- flip over and remove 2 screws from round cover- remove disc inside and use carb cleaner (based on gen2)
get a new gasket for tb to manifold
seafoam the gas and manifold
egr ports get plugged bad every 75kmiles (based on my gen2) must remove manifold and use carb cleaner plus wire hanger to clean them- amazing differance after
IAC dirty often makes surge rpm when stopped
ck a spark plug-over 60kmiles they are ready for new ngk irids- same as it came with is the best plug for the job

If the 3rd gen TL uses an IAC valve it would be the first DBW car that I've ever seen use it. With the computer in control of the throttle valve instead of a cable and your foot, it eliminates the need for the IAC valve.

Yeah, I dunno....This is the one and only reference in the 04 SM. I was surprised to find it there.....
