Any reason you feel like factory blades over anything in the auto parts store??

They're wiper blades..

Just preference I guess. I've tried wiper blades from wal-mart, auto zone, pep boys. Some I have problems with right off the bat, other ones don't seem to last that long before I'm replacing them again. But I've never had issues with OEM wiper blades. They seem to work well and last the longest.

I like the factory blades - plus, changing the inserts on them is cheaper is then buying new wipers - at $4.91 (driver insert) and $4.50 (passenger insert) is a win in my book

There is a long thread somewhere discussing the Accord blades and inserts...I put those on mine since my OEM blades were long gone. I agree that I "prefer" the OEM blades over anything else aftermarket especially once you take price into consideration. I'm sure there are better out there....but price and convenience wins for me.

Helps no matter what blades you use if you wash your car with Optimum No Rinse wash, or at least mix some up at 64:1 to use as your glass cleaner. The polymers in it stay behind on the glass and are more effective than RainX.

Still have the original blades after 12 years. I just get the rubber refills every year or so.

I just bought oem inserts for my new vehicle...but mostly cause i'm keeping it cost effective and the oem wiper blades look cool.
otherwise, I've always done Christ Bosch Icons. They last a year to a year and a half in Floriduh.

Sorry guys. I didn't mean to start another "wiper blade insert" thread, especially since I did see a previous thread that had been started on the subject. My question actually had to do with the metal portion of the wiper blade, not the rubber insert. The first pic I posted is of the wiper blades that are currently on the car that I recently purchased. I wanted to know if they were original or had been put on by the PO? The reason I asked if they came from the factory like that is because I also have a 2008 Honda Civic, which indeed does have very similar wing like blades on it. I am going to replace the blades on the TL. When I was researching the OEM TL blades, however, I kept coming up with the more traditional bracket type blade holders. Like some of the other guys who posted I would like to keep the car "OEM" looking.

you can buy 2013 accord wipers that have the refillable inserts that have a spoiler design so the wipers sit lower (better forward visibility) and they have even pressure so no streaking! See here:

I found a deal from Amazon a while ago... A pair of Michelin blades for $20/shipped. I didn't need them at the time but I bought them anyway. I wound up installing them a few weeks ago and they're very high quality and look OEM.

my my car and windshield gets cleaned so often that I can generally drive without using my wipers.
