Factory Freak?

I have heard of the "factory freak", where some cars are faster than others. Anyone with a tl have one? I have a 5at and from a dead stop, when I punch it, both tires spin through 1st gear (when they both spin). It doesnt matter what kind of tar its on, and the temp has been around 71*. Are all the 5at's like this? I cant wait to see what the aem cai and some 30* temp will do

I dunno if i have one, but when i had a loaner TL I put the pedel to the floor and it didnt seem to get that much punch. When i got my replacement TL, it seem to be more powerful then the loaner. I dunno maybe its just in my head..LOL

with VSA off, you should be able to spin both tires if you punch it. it prolly only wont spin if you take it to the track when its sticky. ever stepped on the track and pretty much had to pull your leg to move it?

I have never heard of the "factory freak TL."

But my TL spins the front tires every time I punch it from a dead stop or when I punch it during a left turn. Not sure if that is standard. Love that it does that though.

Took a guy in a M3 the other night from the top of Boyleston St in Boston by the Cactus Club. Full tire spin at the start of our race. At the end of Boyleston by the Arlington T stop, for those that know Boston, he rolled down his window and said that he needs to get rid of the M3 and get a TL. heh

Firstly, what kinda tires do you have? If they're still stock, then it's no surprise.

interesting, i took a guy yesterday in a teal M3 on my way home. he took off on me at the line, but once vtec kicked in...oh baby i started gainin on him quickly. he beat me yea, but surprisingly not by much. he pulled into a safeway and i followed him and he said something similar "dang, i kinda want the TL instead of the M3"

i only have magnaflows and CAI in terms of performance. i know it's not my driving cuz i've only been driving stick for 3 months now...possibly my car could be that "supa freak" HAHA

But the previous one the 6MT should be able to take, the autos would be a drivers race.

i meant to say naturally aspirated, i dont believe any n/a 5at TL can hold with an m3, maybe close, but more than just a car lengths difference
