Car was the star at Curry Acura this morning. All the sales people, management, and other customers were impressesed with and wanted to copy the moulding and plood (Pwastic) work I put on. More pics and info to follow . . .

I have to go back out and drive now!

I picked my car up a week ago. Although I got black, green/camel was my second choice. It is a stunning combo.

It is my first new car in 14 years. My 1990 Maxima was as pristine on the day I sold it as it was the day I bought it. 99,000 garage-kept miles. I hope to keep this one for at least as long.

I am anxious to see your pics of the wood kit. I have considered it. Tell us where you got it, how much, ease of installation, etc.

Against all advice here, I had an artist paint a subtle gold pinstripe on my black TL. I also had all the managers and salespeople ooowing and awwing over it. I had to import the artist since their guy was a hack. I have pictures but I don't know how to post them. I've tried. Let me know when you figure it out.

DMZ, Congratulations. The pain of 3 months is finnally over.

 

Wait a second, DMZ, what tire do you have now? Didn't you demand the upgrade?

 

My dealer says Acura has become extremely adamant about not letting them change out the Bullshitstones prior to delivery, however what happens a week later is another matter entirely. I did not want the HPT Tire upgrade (they're still Bullshitstones anyway), as I have no place to store a 2nd set of tires. After a few weeks, I'll get the Falken 512's installed. Got a price of $105 each + tax; mounted, balanced, and installed from Ganin Tire (ganintire.com). Road hazard warranty included, prorated after the 1st year.

 

Are you having any problems with the Turanzas? They're crap tires but I don't have any flatspotting or vibrations.

 

No flat spotting or vibrations ........yet. But that doesn't mean I'm keeping them. I had several nightmareish heart stopping experiences hydroplaning on wet roads with Bullshitstone all season tires 3 cars ago, after which I swore to myself NEVER AGAIN !

Falken Ziex 512's, here I come. Consumer Reports top rated sedan deserves to have Consumer Reports top rated tires on it.
