Sweet Mod!!

Just did this on my lunch break here at work...

Just used a drimmel and a flathead screwdriver and it took me 15 minutes max.

And Man was it worth it! I am able to put my arm out the window and not feel something jamming me in the arm! it's GREAT!!

Now I have a question that is off topic but why doesn't my car lock after you put it in gear or start going a certain speed like other newer model cars?? haha

great write up, I'll mostly do this for the driver door only.

I'm going to follow the same path, but I'm only doing the driver's door. I usually want everything very symmetrical, but in this case, I think I'll be the only one who knows one is lower than the others when the car is locked. It's my car and I want to be comfortable...
This is EXACTLY how I feel about this subject. Hopefully, I will be able to get out of another door in case of an emergency, if not, the window.

can you please post how easy/difficult it was to take the door panel off? I'm a little scared to mess with mine, because I could never get my old Accord's back on right :/

To make it so when you put the car in park it doesnt lock the doors is in the mid somewhere under driver settings.

Also, for the security stuff, I feel 90% confident that when the door is locked if you try to use the handle to open it, it wont work the first time but the second time it will open it....

But, I can't believe nobody has mentioned just tying a piece of string type material around the recessed top portion to easily lift it out. Or, just drill a hole in the middle and tether black fishing /tensile line and let it lay about two inches over the door panel with a small charm or something similar to a ceiling fan pull...that's what I'll be doing.
