Extended warranty
Iam looking at a 06tl with 6sp 98k miles for 15.000.
Dealer has 30days or 1000 mile warranty. Are there any extended warranty companys out there that are good?

30 days or 1000 miles? don't bother.
there are extended warranty companies out there such as easycare, acuracare, etc. BUT a lot of them are dependent on mileage/age of the car. check with your dealer and see if there are any aftermarket companies you can go with.
when i bought my 07 TL-S w/ 35k on it, i opted for a 100k warranty for an additional $1200. they tied it in with my payments each month. so far, it's came in handy one time...but i'd rather have a warranty and not need it then need a warranty and not have it. it's only an additional $18 a month or something.
most will tell you to not bother with a warranty, and that the car will be fine...but at the time, it made sense for me to get one at the price i did.

i did a bit of a overkill on mine. I got my 07 TL-S that was 67k at the time and certified(which means it already had a 12 month warrenty on it) but i bought the extended that took it into 24months 100k warrenty just so i can get peace of mind...so far so good. I spent 1400 extra to get it. No regrets even if i don't end up using it.

when I bought my '04 AT with 44k miles on it, I also decided to get the 3yr/100k warranty for $1100. It paid for itself within the first year, cause had to use it twice, without it , I would have spent nearly 4k in repairs. The transmission ended being rebuilt and had the power steering rack replaced. After those 2 repairs, the TL has been problem free, I'm on my last year of the warranty now, expires this December.

I would also highly recommend an extended warranty. With all the tech features the TL has you never know when something to may need to be fixed/replaced, especially if the car has some miles on it. Just recently I had the "tighten gas cap" message pop-up.
Also, make sure the warranty is with Acura. The last warranty I bought I was told it wouldn't cover some parts as it was a third party warranty. I believe the Acura care is the warranty certified by Acura.

got mine through fidelity. had no idea they did auto warranty and I use them for other things so why not. I am covered for literally everything on the vehicle (besides wear items obviously) for the next 4 years/60k and it was not expensive

Basically it's an insurance policy. You don't know for sure if it is a good idea until you use/need it. I bought my 08 TL-S as a CPO but decided on the extended warranty to 7/100K for $1090 as part of my purchase. To date I haven't used/needed, but as others have mentioned - peace of mind. I plan on keeping this car for some time, so it made sense.
We bought an extended warranty on our MDX and it has paid for itself 2.5 times so far.......

Depends on the car and if you ever use it. I purchased one from Acuracare when I bought my CL. It was worth every penny. I used the hell out of it.
BTW, OP you car is probably too old for one through Acuracare.

I have the 7year/120k Acuracare warranty and I plan on making it worth it, so far I've had these things fixed/replaced out of my 50k warranty
tensioner (twice)
side view mirror motors (both sides)
transponder
compliance bushings w/ alignment
So far it's not really worth it, maybe once my motor mounts go bad and compliance bushings again!
