Even BMW techs recognize the value of an Acura TL
Even BMW techs recognize the value of an Acura TL
I waited by Weatherford BMW in Berkeley this morning for my senior manager who was dropping off his M3 for the 1200 mile check-up (I guess they use this time to ensure that the break-in period went smoothly, etc). Anyway, as I was parked in the front around 7:45am, I noticed a BMW tech walking back and forth in that area checking on other cars that were left for service, but also eyeballing my car from the back.
About 5 minutes later the same tech and another tech came out and started walking around my car. My windows were open, so they said hi and asked me how much I paid. They commented on the 18" wheels/tires and were very impressed with the interior. One of them was interested in buying one so he just wanted to see one in person. One of them was surprised that the TL was cheaper than the 3 series, after all options are added in.
Anyway... it must be a compliment for even BMW techs to recognize the value of the TL!

just about everyone i showed my car too was impressed with what the TL offered for the money. i showed someone who bought an is300 about 5 months ago and he had a little buyers remorse after he saw everything that came with the TL. bmws are nice, i am a bmw fan and love their engineering and styling(not lately). but i could not resist when i saw the TL for myself.
I got to see Neuronbob's TL at the NE ohio meet. You guys are lucky to have such a nice car. I must give Honda/Acura credit, the interiors in all of the Honda's I've been in were always as good or better than the competition. I love the interior of the 3G TL's, specifically the gauges. So beautiful!
Good to hear than Lore. Same thing happened to me but at a Nissan dealership when I drove my wife to pick up her Nissan. They were amazed to see this car and what it has inside and under the hood.
This girl I'm dating now had purchased a 2004 E320 a couple of months ago. Nice car to say the least. Since I drive her around in my car all the time, she's gotten quite accustomed to all the features and creature comforts of the TL. She recognizes the value of the TL and regrets paying $57K for her MB.

That's seriously a good chunk of change...the things you could do to a TL with that kind of money! The TL is going to be the first car I test drive out of 3 or 4 other cars which are in different classes. I just want to get a feel for all the cars and then figure out what I want. With all the projects I have in mind, the TL will suit me the best although some other cars that I will not mention come in pretty close.
