Does the 2006 TL send an audible alarm for oil, water, tire pressure, etc? I realize there is a respective icon that shows on the dash but sometimes that's not noticible, particularly on a bright day. Thanks.

 

I have noticed an audible "alarm" (referred to in the manual as a "chime") which does sound in some cases. You can hear this when if you open the door with the engine running. On a few very cold days we experienced this past winter the tire pressure monitoring system warning came on and I'm pretty sure there was a chime sounded - otherwise I might very well have missed it! On another occasion, we deliberately waited until the fuel level was quite low before filling up and I'm pretty sure there was a chime sounded when the dashboard display announced how much farther we could travel before the tank would run dry - a useful feature, I thought.
