if u cant afford a sub $200 dollar mod then you shouldn't own a TL

Unless you just enjoy making stuff, but why would you want to fab something like this?

Well since I could afford a TL, I think i can afford $200 but what fun is that when you can customize your own?

i see your point, but it seems like it's more trouble than it's worth even if u are a machinist and have access to machines where u could make your own parts. i think u would still need to end up buying a filter though...

Because you can end up losing performance, gas mileage, etc. There are a few TL's that have a intake filter connected to the stock oem piping but as far as fabricating a new pipe, haven't seen anything.

Oh and just fyi, I had a buddy (at the time) put on an AEM CAI in his RSX, somehow over the course of owning the intake, he made a hole in the pipe near the tire (tire rubbing against the pipe). I don't know how he did it, but he did. Hole in intake = debris in engine. Could have just been user error who knows. Take it with a two grains of salt, but if you are gun-ho about it, then good luck and tell us how it works out.
