So, Mike and I were driving out to Stockton in order to get some of the last parts of his six-speed conversion today. During our 5 hr drive to get there, we had some encounters. I'll briefly describe them as I dont want to write a book. Also, it was a clear roadway...no cars for a long while, as well as no cops I dont need anyone trying to scold me for what i did. I took the opportunities I was given, and thankful that the conditions were the way they were.


In no particular order:

1) Pontiac Grand Prix of the 99N. Was being driven by a single (we think she is) mom. Not really a race of sorts, more of catch up.... her trying to catch me. After about 20 miles of doing so, we had to get off the 99 to the 4. She so wanted us... and her daughter did too. haha. it was one of those 'flirting with cars' moments.

2) Older Porsche. Unsure of the model, but it was turboed.. big wing on the end. Came up flying on the 5s, and we let him pass... then pulled up on him and we ended up getting 3 runs with him. Really cool guy. Each time we did from a roll, at about 60mph. and each time we went at it... we'd pull on him from 3rd gear up. shut it down every time at 115 or so. Gave him the thumbs up afterwards, and we sped off

3) 2008 Accord Coupe V6 off the 5S. not really a race, but after he cut us off... we had to get a run. Those things are rather quick... I know they have about 260ish hp. After we passed him up, he just took off on us. Never even looked our way. Jerk. Although that didnt stop us from trying a bit more, even though it never worked.

4) Dodge Magnum of the 14N. Now this thing was effin' hideous. White car. White rims with chrome lip. Big white BSF or BSP or something similiar sticker on the rear windshield, and a horrid sounding exhaust. Ran him about 3 times as well... each time we took off, he was staring at my shrinking taillights. We caught up to another Magnum, and he tried to back up his fellow Magnum, only to be destroyed the same if not worse.



Now those are the highlights.. there are some more, but I cant really think....

being on the road for about 11hrs takes something out of you. Sanity perhaps?

 

o wow.. crazy... you could have saw 4 WDP 3rd gen's on 4 today if we met up at the same time. =) check out the 3rd gen photoshoot.
