Is there a real wood option? I thought it was simulated. Its hard to tell as it looks pretty good. I know the G35 has a wood package option but you feel you are in a tree, way too much.

Many dealers do add-on kits that provide the "wood" interior using a thin wood overlay. I have seen this on other makes of cars. One company that is big on this is www.bitrim.com They do real wood as well as fake wood. I am currently investigating this but have not yet received a catalog and can not say how good it is. On line you can look at the options. It looks like it could be DIY. Also they ususally come in two sizes; a basic kit and a full blown kit covering nearly every flat hard surface in the car.

I am currently investigating the options available to us folks who don't like the Carbon black look but prefer the Quartz interior or Ebony interior. At this point so far I have learned that the wood pieces could be ordered the same as replacement pieces and the dealer would pop out the black and pop in the wood. I am waiting for a second dealer to confirm this. The cost will be around $300 and then add the cost to install. I dislike the carbon look so much I am very willing to pay this. The add-on kits that after market companies offer is for additional pieces. Such that would cover the instrument panel and the like. I will post another update once I get the second dealer to confirm the possibility of the retrofit. It may also not be available immediately and could be a few months down the road. I would even be willing to live with the carbon as long as I knew it was only for a short time. Anyone else know something about this please post.
