Ebay duraflex "aspec lips"

https://www.ebay.com/itm/04-08-Acura...53.m1438.l2649
https://www.ebay.com/itm/04-06-Acura...53.m1438.l2649

Cheaper Alternative than buying an OEM??
I have been searching for a A-Spec Lip kit for my 04 TL for over 2 year now. Only place I could find that would sell is on HeelToe, but the shipping to East coast is ridiculous. Even used parts people wont sell it off their cars or ship. This was not on ebay until recently, so LMK what yall think. Im hoping these are like the lips you would buy for civics and other hondas that would be easy to work with.

you'll hate buying these, fitment is poor and you'll be spending a lot of money. Endless RPM and a few other vendors might be able to get them for you. Acura sells only white and silver kits now to my knowledge.

Those will be shit, and I already was hesitant because it said they would fit the Type S. Bullshit.

After paint you're gonna end up paying more. These are fiberglass so the fitment should be decent but they'll crack. It is eBay though so you could be the guinea pig and return it if the fitment is garbage.

Have you had the dealership check and see if they have any stock?

Going to get the rear lip first, if it fits good ill get the rest of the kit. Wish me luck!! also if its trash, dont expect an update lol imma be soo sad.

For that price, you could give it a shot without losing much. If your buddy is willing to help you get them to fit just make sure you document for all the people that want to see on here!

understand that paint will adhere to fiberglass differently than metal...
so your bottom bumper could look significantly different that the rest of the car...…..
also, NBP contains blue flakes in the paint, dont know how visible those will be when painted on fibreglass.
I would contact endlessrpm or heeltoeauto and see if they have the kit in stock (they should)

Packaged just arrived, gotta say the box is huge for just a rear lip. Packaging was nice, item wasnt damaged during shipping and the surface is actually smooth but after closer inspection the item does need some sanding. No major defects upon visual inspection, so it all depends on the fitment now. which will happen tomorrow Lol. Thinking about posting pics, but lets wait for the fitment first lol.
Also, Didnt come with no hardware. So gotta go pick up some 3M and screws.

This is kind of a long shot but I noticed you were in NC. Have you seen this? Been up a month so it might be gone but I see a NBP A-spec rear.

Alright so update! even tho i said i wont do an update if its trash lol imma let yall know anyways....... ITS TRASH BTW. There goes 230$ ill never see again. Oh well Lesson Learned.

Pros:
-Very good replica of the Aspec Lip (If you put the OEM and Ebay one next to each other they would be very similar in terms of the shapes and curvature. Pretty much the molding they used was spot on.)
-Visually appealing
-Somewhat flexible
-Shipment was fast and packaging was good

Cons:
-Fitment Issues (The sides of the lip where it attaches behind the wheel doesnt line up on one side. like one lines up the other doesnt. Also, The middle part of the lip doesnt fit on the rear bumper. Like it wont slide in, the middle part is too short by 0.5 inch so its hitting the bumper instead of sliding into the muffler cutouts. I think when it was made the part shrinks and thats why?)
-No mounting Hardware
-Small imperfections
-Easily damaged (I lifted it up and one end of it scraped the ground caused it to chip)

Imma still try to fit it on, ive got to the part where it fits on but looks kinda off. might run with it 50/50. Lol

It's eBay. If the lip was garbage start a Item Not as Described case and you'll win 100%. It not lining up on both sides is a major flaw

Too late to return, Cause i had to trim some pieces off to make it even stay on. On the rear bumper there is a line that the lip is supposed to line up with, well the lip sits about 1 inch under that. At this point i was like F it, just started cutting away (on the lip). Now im at the point where i can just put on 3M and the lip will stay on. But like i said it looks off, but to the untrained eye its fine. Reminds me of my old civic with the Ebay Type R lips lol.

Been busy but here is the aftermath....Can you tell if its OEM or Duraflex?
Id estimate about 5 hours of prep and testing fitment to make it fit properly (had to do some bondo work). Then a few more hours for the sanding & paint job. Overall total took about a week to finish it (few hours a day).
Excuse my phone camera quality.... downloaded from my FB lol

That was my 2nd option, find a 07-08 tl and take the bumpers, wouldnt mind having the extra room for some dual tips in the future.

I have both Front and Rear lips. Front came in a day after the Duraflex one. Glad the front was OEM fit like a glove i was super happy, and came with hardware too Lol. Only bad was had to repaint it since it was blue. but damn that blue looked good tho. Probably not going to invest on the sides unless its a super good deal with free shipping. shipping just sucks for these parts idk why.

Shipping sucks, because they are huge and take up a lot of space.

Good job, looks really good. I had an aftermarket front lip years ago on my 2nd gen and the fit wasn't perfect (it wasn't close to be flush). I now have an 08 and it's been extremely hard to find OEM front and rear lip.

My front lip is an genuine A-spec 04-06 lip, so it look like it should if you look up any front A-spec lip on google.
My rear lip is the one that is duraflex. I would definitely stay away from duraflex if possible, unless you are a professional.

I bought a local replica front a-spec in the past but it wasn't eBay branded. It was from a local shop. Fitment was actually spot on... in fact I installed it on the bumper with no hardware. It was a tad tighter than OEM but otherwise it was perfect.

Never heard of good results with the eBay Duraflex ones though.

Hey man, I’m in Etobicoke. I’ve been looking for an a-spec kit for about 2 years now, with no luck.
Can you share the name/details of the local shop? I’m in the area, so I definitely want to check it out.

I think I may have found it. Did a search on Kijiji and it yielded these guys: aeroworks.ca

Do you (or anyone else) want to give it a try and let us know how the fitment is?

I’d do it, but I’m not working right now, so can’t really afford to throw money away if it turns out to be crap.
