When I first started out here I purchased a replica lip from a local company. Since then they have rebranded many many times.
Their product fit perfect. Actually it was maybe a few mm smaller than the original lip which made the lip completely grip to the bumper---I didn't even need hardware for it. That's how tight it was.
But, as with any FRP replica product, fitment will vary from part-to-part and seller-to-seller.

Thanks! That gives me a bit of confidence. I might buy it next month and check it out.
Triple kudos, so ppl like me searching for info find this thread extremely valuable - screw Duraflex.
Agreed! I did see another member say that some Acura dealerships still have some (just might not be the same color of your car). Still worth it for an OEM fit.
They sell them all day on the Facebook groups. Just that they want like an arm and leg for them.
I’ve seen them on the FB groups but yeah some people are asking way too much and 99% of the ones I’ve seen are for the 07-08’s. It’s a shame they’re not made anymore considering the high demand for them.
Thanks for the link. Yeah was looking for one for a base model. So I ordered the Duraflex one and it came today. So gonna see how it fits and drop it off at a paint shop
NICE!!! Worst case call them up to have them verify they have it in stock to save you some ass pain in case they by some reason don’t have it on hand. Just a thought.
They didn't have it,but I have heard this back after asking another site...Hi Jeff,
Part number 08F01-SEP-240B is indeed the front Aspec lip for a 2008 TL Type S in NBP. They are currently backordered, but due in within the next 10 days. Incidentally, the white 210B is in stock.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, thanks!

That was on June 28th. So I asked them to alert me when/if it's back in stock. Shipping is pricey, but I knew that. I'm going to check with my local dealer and hope for that needle in the stack...

Would be nice for the dealership to get it in for you. Just so you could pick it up there instead and save on shipping if possible.

Looks like I may be able to get it from a dealership in St. Louis shipped to me in Springfield. $384. That does beat the $436 from oemacuraparts.com in Arizona, will be calling St. Louis tomorrow. And I'll check my local dealer here, but I'd be surprised...
This is why I bought 2 front lips as back up lol. If Tim said it on back order chance other dealer might not even order it for you (UNLESS they have it in stock).
Will be shipped directly to me here in Springfield, Missouri.
Grand total - $384.11.
Not a big surprise at all that I got nowhere with the parts department of Springfield Acura. Got the routine "it's back ordered" answer. Ok, can you order it? It might be a month, a year, or never sir. So I say "well if it is indeed something that is still able to be ordered then it'll surely come within a reasonable time no? I understand there is demand, and don't expect miracles". Then get this...he then says..."you know we have the new Type S in the showroom and trade-ins are getting great offers at the moment if you're looking."
Sorry to interrupt your meth making schedule there Jim Bob. I don't understand how these guys who work in the parts department 40 hours a week have zero clue on pricing, shipping, online buying, and I spent an evening on this...
I checked multiple dealerships e-store, and the prices vary quite a bit. It's interesting that the Mungenast St. Louis Acura e-store does not allow items to be shipped out of state.
I have to buy a bumper and need to determine if it's cheaper to just pick one up at a dealer or buy one from an online vendor.
So, if these front lips are starting to become backordered, I have to imagine the supply will dwindle soon.
I imagine you’re right on that one. I got lucky as hell last week to find a rear Aspec lip on an 05 TL at one of the local pick n pulls. I was debating on buying a lottery ticket the same day after that.
So the lip is FINALLY in St. Louis, only some 200 miles to go. But...
This kid at Acura of St. Louis is awesome to even point that out, and asked me what I would like to do...I said see what you guys can do at the dealership...
They corrected it, compound or whatever. I'm ok with it. He took off $25 as well. So this front lip, shipped and all ran me $363. He is also selling me these at his employee cost... https://www.oemacuraparts.com/oem-pa...ws-08r04sep201 I can't say how much with his employee discount...but wow.
I've online just sent this kid a vanilla visa gift card ($25) because I feel he deserves it. I dunno, I just tend to think most places would of just sent the lip as is...one of my best customer service experiences ever.

Keep an eye out at your local pick n pull yards. I got lucky and found a oem rear Aspec lip off a 05 base in great shape and it cost me $20. Gonna take it to my local paint shop this week to get it painted.
